HOME OWNERSHIP MADE EASY (HOME)
Mission Statement

HOME will create independent, empowering living experiences for persons and families with developmental disabilities through rental and home ownership opportunities. HOME will continue to reach and expand support of local, statewide, federal and private resources that serve these consumers by building successful relationships with those entities. Our goals are achieved through the combined efforts of teamwork, advocacy and action, ensuring alternative housing opportunities today and in the future.

History

HOME was founded in 1989 by a group of Westside Regional Center parents and concerned individuals who wanted to develop alternative housing options for adults with developmental disabilities. HOME was first started to serve as the property owner and manager for developmentally disabled consumers of the Westside Regional Center. HOME’s mission and goals have subsequently developed to offer affordable housing opportunities, through rental and home ownership programs to individuals and families who have disabilities.
